Undated picture of a mobile Migros food truck in Zurich. On August 25, 1925 the Migros began to operate 5 such trucks, which were able to deliver products to 178 stops in the city of Zurich Zuerich. The philosophy behind the business ideas of Gottlieb Duttweiler was: a big revenue, a small profit and fresh products, which were offerd at the mobile food trucks for much lower prizes than usual. Despite the resistance of the retail dealers and food manufacturers migros was growing very fast. Today Migros is the biggest retail dealer of Switzerland and ranks among the 500 biggest enterprises in the world.
