Image description

Due to heavy rainfall, the Gotthard road was buried in two different places and had to be temporarily closed. Near the Gotthard there was a landslide and between Wassen and Goeschenen the Standeltal-Ruefenen went down. The water masses pushed a lot of boulders and rocks in front of them, which blocked the passage under the bridge arch, so that the stream pushed the rocks over the road, taken in July 1961.
