Prozession Vor Dem Dom. Die nach dem lateinischen Wort procedere (d.h. vorwartsschreiten) genannten feierlichen Umzuge der katholischen Geistlichkeit und des Volkes um die Kirche sind schon seit dem 4 Jahrhundert bekannt. Der Zug verlasst unter Vorantritt der Geistlichen mit Fahnen, Kreuzen und dem Sakrament den Dom, den er umwandelt, um schliesslich wieder zum Hauptportal zuruckzukehren. Translation: Procession in front of the Cathedral. The solemn processions of the Catholic clergy and the people around the church, named after the Latin word procedere (i.e. moving forward), have been known since the 4th century. The procession leaves the cathedral, led by the clergy with flags, crosses and the sacrament, which it transforms before finally returning to the main portal.
