The first Marksmen's Festival of the Bavarian Citizens' Defense in Munich. 40,000 soldiers have gathered. This event took place in connection with the propaganda offensive of the Governor Georg Escherich and with the support of Prime Minister von Kahr for promotional purposes for the Einwohnerwehr ("Citizens' Defense"). During the day several prize shootings took place. In 1921, the "Citizens' Defense" had to be dissolved due to the growing pressure of the Allies. The federation "Bayern und Reich"acted as successor organization of the Einwohnerwehr. The Bavarian Prime Minister Gustav Ritter von Kahr (center with hat), behind Governor Dr. Georg Escherich, right beside Colonel Ritter von Epp and left of Kahr city captain Kuehner. 26.09.1920
