The chapel is built in a recess on the east face. Its roof is supported by two pillars, bearing vertical inscriptions facing north. South of the portico, the wall contains an interesting hieroglyphic text in which Tjetu claims that as a lector priest, he knows magical spells that can protect his tomb and that can take “any man who shall take away or who shall displace a block of stone in this tomb” to the tribunal of gods to be judged. This is a soft version of inscriptions that were supposed to protect tombs from robbers and vandals. The west wall of the portico contains three false doors, which are irregularly placed and differ in size. The northern false door belonged to the tomb owner; the central false door was assigned to Wadjhetep, while the southern false door was for their son, Mesni.
