Ugo SPIRITO (September 9, 1896 - April 28, 1979) Italian philosopher, one of the greatest of the twentieth century. An academic, he wrote countless essays and taught at the universities of Pisa, Rome, Messina and Genoa. He was a pupil of Giovanni Gentile and initially followed him in joining fascism of which, however, he developed his own personal vision that was not shared. Restless thinker starting from analysis of jurisprudence, he develops positions by developing philosophical-religious themes. He defines his philosophical position with the name "problematicism".
