Striking editors of the Migros newspaper TAT demonstrate on 22 September 1978 in front of the Migros press house in Zurich, Switzerland, against the dismissal of editor-in-chief Roger Schawinski and his replacement by Blick editor Karl Voegeli. The editorial staff of TAT under Roger Shavinski was striving for more critical reporting, which prompted the owner of TAT, the Migros Cooperative Association MGB, to dismiss Schawinski without notice. Additional tensions arose when the “Tat” employees founded a group of Swiss journalists and demanded a collective agreement. The employees went on strike and were subsequently all dismissed. The TAT has been suspended.
