Aerial views of the Flatiron Building. The Flatiron Building or Fuller Building, is a skyscraper located in Manhattan. It was one of the tallest buildings in New York when its construction was completed in 1902. It was originally named after George A. Fuller, founder of the construction company, who had died in 1900. The Flatiron is located on a triangular block bounded on the south by 22nd Street, west on Fifth Avenue and east of Broadway. The Beaux Arts style building was designed by architect Daniel Burnham Chicago school. The limestone and terra cotta facade is divided horizontally into three parts. The use of steel in its construction enabled the work to reach 87 m in height, which would have been very difficult using the usual techniques of the time. Photographed in 2014
