Red Army commanders, Lenins tomb, Moscow, November 1935. ñRed Army chiefs watch monster demonstration of Russias military and industrial might paraded on 18th anniversary of revolution. Watched by Stalin, the Soviet dictator, and members of the all-powerful Political Bureau as well as high commanders of the Red Army, a military parade lasting two hours took place in Red Square, Moscow, in celebration of the 18th anniversary of the Bolshevik revolution. After the march-past of army, navy and air force men with heavy artillery, anti-aircraft guns and new fortress tanks which raced across the square at 40 miles an hour, came a million and a half peasants and factory workers in columns 80 abreast.ñ Seen here are Gamarnik, Kliment Yefremovich Voroshilov (War Commissar), Budyonny, Gorbachov, Aleksandr Yegorov, and Tukhachevski. ©SSPL/Manchester Daily Express
