Despairing of Rāvaṇa's wickedness and folly, VibhÄ«á¹£aá¹‡a has abandoned him to his fate, and he and a few of his followers have flown from Laṅkā to join Rāma. Outside a cavern in Mount Mahendra, VibhÄ«á¹£aá¹‡a, along with four rÄká¹£asas who accompanied him from Laṅkā, is brought by SugrÄ«va and the other monkeys to Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa, and bows down before them.
