ARBITERS POSTPONE DECISION ON BRCKO, 1998-03-15 (photo)

International High Representative to Bosnia, Carlos Westendorp (R), tells reporters in Sarajevo March 15 that the international arbiters for the disputed Bosnian town of Brcko have decided to postpone the final ruling on the fate of the town until the end of the year. Westendorp, flanked by his Principal Deputy Jacques Klein (L), said the arbiters wanted to give a new chance to newly-elected Bosnian Serb government to fulfill their promises for cooperation. Brcko in Serb territory, is claimed by the Serb republic and the Moslem-Croat federation which comprise post-war Bosnia. BOSNIA TOWN
