Lithograph by D Nemoz of Marc Seguin (1786-1875). Born in Annonay, France, Seguin's main achievements were in civil engineering including the development of the wire-rope suspension bridge along with his patented invention of the fire-tube boiler which was used on the locomotive 'Rocket' built by George Stephenson and Robert Stephenson.
