Louis-Alfred Natanson (1873-1932 (also known under the pseudonym of Alfred Athis) playwright and co-founder with his brothers, Alexandre and Thadée of the Revue Blanche; he was a keen photographer and both and the painter, Edouard Vuillard, owned identical Kodak cameras; photo taken in the garden of 'Le Relais', the country house bought by Thadée Natanson and his wife Misia in 1897 and a centre for their circle of artistic and literary friends (which included the Nabis painters Vuillard, Bonnard, Vallotton, Roussel as well as Toulouse-Lautrec, Proust, Coolus and Mérimée) until their divorce in 1904;
