Colonial postcard, 1935-36 (colour litho)

COLONIALIST PROPAGANDA "To the post office: I would like to send this memory of East Africa to a friend of mine"; the "memory" would be a young black woman, naked, packed just like an object, and presented as such at the parcel counter. Humorous post card for the use of Italian soldiers from East Africa, conforming to the regime's racist propaganda ideas; tragically, the humorous component lies only in the brazenness with which the soldier plans to make even his friend who remained in his homeland use the power of abuse tolerated and encouraged by the Italian troops towards the local population.
