Napoleon BONAPARTE (15 August 1769 - 5 May 1821) in Italy: the Austrians were pursued by the French with great fierceness and lost men who overwhelmed laid down their weapons. An Austrian column, knowing that there was only a small French militia in Lonato, went there, but at the same time Napoleon arrived, who received a diplomat who ordered the surrender to the little one garrison, he ventured instead that he would give the Austrian general eight minutes to surrender, since they were in the middle of the French army. The general believed in the bluff and surrendered, even though he had a garrison of more than two thousand men well armed with heavy artillery.
